SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Analyst, Contracts and Pricing to become a vital part of our team. The ideal candidate will assume a pivotal role in overseeing contractual agreements, supporting the development and maintenance of reports that monitor contract performance and pricing strategies, and make substantial contributions to the overall success of our business.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

Alvogen is a leading player in the generic pharmaceutical industry, dedicated to providing high-quality and affordable healthcare solutions. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we are expanding our team and seeking a qualified Senior Analyst, Contracts and Pricing to contribute to our continued success. This position will report to Senior Manager of Pricing Analytics & Contracts within Sales Operations.

This role is located in Morristown, NJ.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:

Contract Negotiation:

Contribute to and support intricate negotiations for pricing offers, contract terms, amendments, and conditions with key business partners. Ensure contracts align with legal requirements, company policies, to mitigate risk.

Contract Performance Analytics:

Support the monitoring and reporting of contract performance. This will include developing and standardizing reports, identifying key takeaways, and communicating reports to internal audience.

Pricing Strategy Analytics

Support the development of pricing analytics based on customer and market needs. This may include, but is not limited to, conducting competitive market research, developing presentations to drive internal discussions and alignment on pricing.

Customer Engagement

Respond to RFPs for Group Purchasing Organizations and individual customer purchase agreements. Support the development of tailored business proposals as requested for each customer.

Contract Lifecycle Management:

Support the entire contract lifecycle, from initial draft to final execution and ongoing compliance monitoring. Work closely with legal, compliance, and sales teams to ensure contract adherence.

Stakeholder Relationship Management:

Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally. Address inquiries and concerns related to contracts and pricing in a timely and effective manner. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues related to contract performance. Troubleshoot and reconcile all price disputes/discrepancies related to invoices, chargebacks, and rebates.

Configure Price Quote (CPQ):

Support the successful implementation, adoption, and continuous optimization of CPQ tools, ensuring seamless quoting and pricing. This involves close collaboration with IT and Sales teams to customize and integrate CPQ solutions.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM):

Harness the full potential of CRM system to elevate customer interactions and provide robust support for sales processes. This includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date contract and pricing information within the CRM platform. Collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams is key to aligning CRM usage with overarching business goals.

Data Analysis and Insights:

Utilize advanced data analytics tools to assess the performance of pricing strategies and contract effectiveness. Provide actionable insights based on data-driven analyses.

Pricing Strategy Optimization:

Support the development and execution of strategic pricing initiatives to enhance profitability and competitiveness. Leverage pricing strategy in conjunction with margin objectives to inform in-line pricing updates and changes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field, MBA preferred
  • 2-4 years of work experience, preferably within Generics or Management Consulting
  • Proficient in data analysis, leveraging visualization tools such as Excel VBA, PowerBI, Tableau, SQL
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of discretion and sensitivity to confidential information
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Self-sufficiency in task execution
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective collaboration within a cross-functional team setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced in successful contract negotiation and management in the generic pharmaceutical industry
  • Pricing strategy experience and understanding of the generic market and players
  • Experience with CRM systems for improved customer interactions, accurate data maintenance, and aligning CRM usage with broader business goals
  • Experience in implementing and optimizing CPQ tools for smooth quoting and pricing, with effective collaboration across cross-functional teams
