JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Media is looking for an experienced Executive Producer responsible for overseeing content for a one-hour news program. You will work hand-in-hand with the hosts, the show team, and management to facilitate a successful production.

We are looking for a self-starter to lead the launch of a multi-vertical news program. The ideal candidate will have experience creating new programming - from building a team from the ground up to creating rundowns and graphics to designing a set. This is a multi-vertical launch across video, audio, and digital platforms. You must have the ability to manage the daily workflow for each of the platforms.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the editorial point person from initial story development through the live control room broadcast

  • Frame compelling storylines and determine the best sound and elements for each segment

  • Copy edit scripts throughout the broadcast

  • Work directly with the hosts and all production staff on show content

  • Evaluate potential guest segments

  • Manage and mentor staff and monitor their development

  • Conduct annual performance reviews

  • Oversee staff calendar/backup roles

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years of experience producing news at a local station or network

  • 2+ years of experience as a Senior Producer in a live news environment

  • Knowledge of and experience in news and digital

  • Solid understanding of foreign news coverage is a plus

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) required

  • Strong technical and strategic thinking/decision-making skills

  • Ability to execute live segments including breaking news

  • Flexibility to work a variety of days and hours as breaking news requires

  • Ability to copyedit and handle scripts for air under deadline pressure

  • Ability to react to breaking news with immediate programming ideas

  • Exceptional editorial skills

  • Ability to be a team player

  • Broad knowledge of current events, politics, and pop culture

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $190,000.00-225,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
