Mechanical Test Engineer

Job Description:
IS4S is looking for a mechanical engineer who’s not only interested in designing components in CAD but who’s also interested in hands-on building, testing, and fielding of their designs. IS4S works closely with Air Force, Army, and Navy engineers and scientists to build advanced military systems. IS4S is looking for candidates who are self-starters, teachable, and able to learn new things as they work together with other engineers and program managers to solve challenging technical problems. The candidate will co-locate with engineers and program managers at Eglin Air Force Base. Duties will include creating technical drawings, manufacturing schematics, field testing, and solid modeling. Additionally, candidates will be required to communicate with manufacturing engineers and machinists on creating sound designs that can quickly go into prototype and eventual production. Furthermore, the candidate will also be required to work with test engineers on creating test plans and test layouts as well as post-test analysis.

Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Experience with both Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks CAD software
- Ability to work closely with a small, agile development team
- Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance
Desired Experience:
- Experience with finite element modeling and simulation
- Experience in DoD weapons development or integration
- Experience in prototyping and field testing
- 2+ years of design engineering experience or equivalent .
