Position Summary:

As a Digital Technology Intern, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that leverage technology to drive innovation. You'll collaborate with our dynamic team, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to impactful initiatives. Here are the key aspects of your role:

Project Involvement: You'll be assigned meaningful projects related to digital solutions, data analytics, and innovative architectures. These projects will challenge you to apply your technical skills and creativity.

Interaction and Presentation: You'll have the chance to interact with various stakeholders, including leadership. Presenting your work and ideas will be an integral part of your internship experience.

Skill Development: Throughout the internship, you'll enhance your technical abilities, learn about real-world applications, and build a strong professional network.

Responsibilities:

  • Chatbot Training and Enhancement: actively participate in training and enhancing our chatbot. This involves refining natural language understanding, improving responses, and incorporating user feedback to create a more intelligent and user-friendly chatbot experience.

  • Predictive Algorithm Development: utilize sensor telemetry data to develop algorithms that will automate alarm trigger levels for monitored powertrain equipment.

  • System Testing: support system testing and bug identification for Perceptiv next-generation IoT solution by operating autonomously to run defined tests and articulate results to an audience of engineering and product management team members. Validate implementation of Modbus RTU protocol by testing against defined requirements.

  • Strategic Planning: administrative and scheduling support throughout our annual strategic planning process

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's program majoring in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

  • Able to work full-time in-person at our Milwaukee, WI headquarters building beginning summer 2024.

  • Enthusiasm for digital technology and its impact

  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills, both written and oral

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team; can effectively function in a matrix and team environment

  • Eagerness to learn and contribute

  • Programming languages knowledge and experience

  • Working knowledge of predictive analytics tools

  • Experience with industrial networking and database creation/management a plus

Travel:Not anticipated, however Milwaukee-area locations could be in scope
