Sr. Acquisition Management Analyst

Position Summary:
As Sr. Acquisition Management Analyst, you will play a critical role in executing defense acquisition tasks in alignment with the latest DoD and Navy policies. Your expertise will encompass a range of responsibilities to support program management and decision-making. for a shipbuilding Program Office (PMS 300 and 325) onsite at the Washington Navy Yard.

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Policy Implementation: Utilize your familiarity with DoD and Navy policies to ensure adherence and compliance during defense acquisition processes.
  • Briefing Preparation: Assist in the development, maintenance, and preparation of briefings to provide comprehensive updates and information.
  • Meeting Support: Attend meetings and prepare detailed minutes, conduct research, and respond to action items effectively. Meetings may include:
    • Quarterly Program and/or Progress Reviews (QPRs).
    • Milestone Reviews, Gate Reviews, or Resources and Requirements Review Board (R3B).
    • Shipbuilder Program Reviews, including Post-Award Conferences and logistics meetings.
    • Foreign Customer Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Financial Management Reviews (FMRs).
  • Contribute to the development of essential DoN acquisition documents, such as Acquisition Strategy and Acquisition Program Baseline.
  • Provide effective supervision and leadership in managing acquisition projects.
  • Utilize your shipbuilding background to ensure effective integration of systems and equipment.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management discipline.
  • A minimum of 15+ years of experience in program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management, with at least 7+ years in DoD/DoN program, contracts, or acquisition management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); DoD/DoN contracting; experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel; development of DoN acquisition document (e.g., Acquisition Strategy, Acquisition Program Baseline); supervisory experience; shipbuilding experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in DoD/DoN contracting practices and facilitate successful acquisition management. Project Supervision: Provide effective supervision and leadership in managing acquisition projects.
  • Familiarity with Foreign Military Sales processes to facilitate international defense cooperation.
  • Shipbuilding Experience: Utilize your shipbuilding background to ensure effective integration of systems and equipment.
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Business Management discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • A minimum of 20+ years of experience in program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management, with at least 10+ years in DoD/DoN program, contracts, or acquisition management.
Physical Demands & Expectations:
  • Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
  • Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
