DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The main responsibility of this role is to provide direct support for the Department's School Bus Stop Arm Enforcement Systems Program and handle invoicing for construction, concrete, and steel inspection costs. Additionally, this position acts as a liaison between internal customers such as PennDOT's Office of Chief Counsel (OCC) and PennDOT district offices, as well as external customers like Pennsylvania school districts. The role also involves assisting with communication and documentation after hearings and invoices submitted by PennDOT district offices.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to your headquarters location.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an Associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
