In this position, you will serve as leader for the outbreak team within the HAIP/AS program, which may include (but is not limited to) supervision of Epidemiology Research Associates, Epidemiology Program Specialists, contracted employees including Infection Preventionists, and Public Health Specialists, trainees and interns. You will serve as liaison for the HAIP/AS program to the Department of Health Tuberculosis program and the Bureau of Epidemiology Hepatis Coordinator; provide subject matter expertise on blood borne pathogen transmission and Hepatitis transmission prevention in healthcare settings; supervise activities of the Infection Preventionist dedicated to dialysis prevention and injection safety prevention programs; and supervise outbreak-focused epidemiology staff by completing performance evaluations, approving or disapproving leave, effecting discipline, and making hiring decisions.
