The Registered Nurse is responsible for patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary health care providers to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate and document care in an individualized and age-appropriate manner which promotes patient safety and healing and according to hospital policy. Multi-specialty telemetry, surgical, and medical population focused on the care of Kaiser Permanente Patients with unit-based Provider partnership

Compensation is dependent on several factors including years of relative experience to desired role, education, and certification/licensure. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees.   1. Competency in care of unit specific patient population; independently practices with solid knowledge and clinical skills; engaged in advancing own practice.
  2. Serves as a clinical resource for others.
  3. Applies and integrates evidence into practice
  4. Functions effectively in roles specific to unit, such as arrest team for ICU, triage for ED, etc.
  5. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care; independently advocating for patient/family needs
  6. Models practice consistent with unit operations to ensure safe, timely effective, efficient, equitable, patient centered care.

Qualifications
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.
  • More than 12 months nursing experience. Solid knowledge and clinical skills.
  • Current AHA BLS certification required.
  • Must meet all unit specific certification requirements: (PALS, ACLS, NRP)
