Description

Chevois currently hiring an experiencedHuman Resource (HR) Specialist . The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to Human Resources support and must be proficient with utilizing multiple IT systems and applications such as the National Finance Center's (NFC) Reporting Center, WebTA, Microsoft Outlook, and SharePoint, all in support of the client organization. Location is remote based in either Kansas City, MO or Kansas, and Washington, DC metro area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate HR service delivery using various IT systems/applications with emphasis on managing a high volume and often time-sensitive service requests, recurring reports, data calls, employee notifications, and inquiries.
  • Functions include areas such as staffing, pay/leave, time and attendance, benefits, training, AgLearn online training system administration, telework, communications, reporting, research, studies, and analysis.
  • Support is for the existing federal staff who service 200+ employees, including approximately 35 supervisory/managerial personnel with all matters related to HR.
  • Support the government's requirement to achieve goals related to process improvement, automation, and service delivery.
  • Assist with developing and recommending policy, procedure, and methodology to support the administration of the clients Five-year Human Capital Plan to prepare the current and future workforce to transition.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining the client portfolio alignment and mission area engagement processes with the overall Strategic Plan. Maintain the Virtual Transformation and the Reorganization Plans and integrate major projects into the Human Capital Plan.
  • Assist with developing and recommending policy, procedure, and methodology for the administration of all Federal employee's staffing, recruitment support, recruitment strategies, supervisory approved telework agreements, and Federal employee's on-boarding and off-boarding administration.
  • Create and maintain a Position Description (PD) Library for all Federal positions that mirrors the organization structure.
  • Perform analysis, market research, coordination, and scheduling to provide group training programs based on the annual submissions of Individual Development Plans in AgLearn.
  • Under the direction of the government, perform system administration functions, end-user support, and reporting for the Performance online performance management system for federal supervisors and employees.
  • Record, categorize, research, resolve, track and follow-up on service requests using SharePoint or Outlook group mailbox, spreadsheets, and or other automation/collaboration tools in conjunction with the client HR Liaison team and the Office of Human Resource Management HR team.
  • Perform system administration functions, end-user support, and reporting for AgLearn online learning tool for approximately 200 federal employees and an additional 200 contractor employees on an occasional basis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Management or Technical Discipline from an accredited institution
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Five years of federal government HR information systems experience leading customer support and self- service tools implementations.
  • Two years of federal government project management experience leading remediation and process improvement/automation implementations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal government HR regulations, systems, processes, and interdependencies
