Responsibilities

Peraton is actively seeking a skilled and passionate Agile Scrum Master Systems Engineer to join our dynamic Cyber Mission business unit, located in Fort Meade, Maryland. This pivotal role places you at the heart of one of the most significant engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community, offering you a unique opportunity to influence and contribute to critical national security initiatives.

In this full-time position, you will be expected to provide an annual support of 1880 hours, directly at a customer's site, where your expertise will be crucial in supporting a High-Performance Computing team. Your role will extend to fostering the integration and alignment of Software, DevOps, and sustainment efforts, alongside their respective product owners, ensuring seamless operations and the successful delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:

    Spearheading the organization of engineering activities to efficiently support current and upcoming tasks, while proactively identifying potential risks and dependencies.
  • Facilitating effective communication and coordination within the team, ensuring the smooth delivery of work items through daily backlog refinement and the orchestration of team events.
  • Collaborating closely with the Product Owner to prepare and refine the backlog for both Program iteration and iteration planning, including the conduct of backlog grooming sessions with the team.
    Establishing a robust collaboration framework with the Product Owner and Release Train Engineer to proactively mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and promptly address emerging issues.

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline plus at least 15 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 19 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • Familiarity/Experience in both development and sustainment.
  • Defining, developing, and documenting operational support concepts leading to development and implementation of requirements, specifications, and design plans.
  • Familiarity/Experience with Scrum process for agile project management.
  • Familiarity with Jira.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Most recent polygraph must me less than 5 years old.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Experience with IC industry and customer.

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
