Summary:

Goldschmitt and Associates is seeking a Helpdesk Analyst for a hybrid position. Candidates must be willing to commute to an office location in Sterling, Virginia 3 days a week.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup and configuration of workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices
  • Create user guides and documentation for common IT issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines
  • Monitor system performance and respond to alerts to ensure optimal functionality
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, patches, and backups
  • Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Support end users and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and assist in network troubleshooting
  • Perform other tasks and duties as may be required or assigned from time to time at the Company's discretion

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of IT concepts, systems, and networking
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to take on new challenges and learn from experienced team members
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory and group policy administration
  • Exposure to virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Willing to take feedback, learn, and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess an Associate's degree or relevant certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or possess at least 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Possess at least 2 years of related experience
  • Possess one of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
  • Possess the ability to pick up and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
