Position Summary
The Associate Director of Dining acts as a Dining Services strategic liaison for facilities-related issues, equipment issues, purchases, and operational issues for the Division of Campus Services. Oversee Dining & Catering kitchen and construction projects, dining sustainability initiatives, preventive repairs and maintenance, and the student experience for NYU Dining's 23+ locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Manages the department's relations with various vendors and service providers. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local agencies for all NYU Dining locations and vending including but not limited to the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NYC and NY State guidelines, and NYC Department of Health, FDNY, and ADA requirements.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Required Experience:
5+ years of management experience in retail businesses, the hospitality industry, facilities operations or similar industries; experience working in a large complex organization; proven track record of financial success, budget management or cost savings. Demonstrated experience managing multi-stakeholder projects.

Preferred Experience:
5+ years progressive management experience or an equivalent combination. Must include experience with quality assurance programs, service and procurement contract negotiations, design and construction, equipment maintenance, NYC and NYC Department of Health guidelines, strategic planning and budget management. Experience with standard office technology (MS Office, Google), reviewing project scope of work and estimated projections. Experience implementing and promoting sustainable practices in a food service operation. Experience working in a culturally diverse environment. Experience in managing and partnering with vendors.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong time management skills. Ability to manage multifaceted projects: basic knowledge of building/code compliance guidelines; good organizational skills; excellent oral and written skills; detail oriented; presentation skills/public speaking; budgeting skills; competent with MS Office, Google Apps, MAC.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to obtain and effectively use information, including ability to identify the information needed, seek the information from a variety of sources, and skillfully extract and report the information for business benefit.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $95,000.00 to USD $115,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
