Who we are looking for:

We are actively seeking a Technical Project Manager for a full-time position remotely, supporting the Department of Labor (DOL).

We are an organization that is committed to your growth and success in the IT software development industry and looking for a Technical Project Manager who will be supporting Enterprise Software Systems for a federal client, lead a team of technical experts in an agile environment to support current systems and functionality for a suite of Appian applications.

What your day-to-day will look like / Duties:

  • Provide project leadership including performance, cost, schedule, and risk elements.
  • Ability to manage scope based on baselined requirements while possessing strong communication skills to cultivate a collaborative partnership with the stakeholders in an agile environment.
  • Interact with clients and peer contractors to deliver products and enhancements.
  • Oversee compliance with quality standards and processes.
  • Assemble and coordinate the internal and external teams to gain consensus on deliverables from each team.
  • Collaboratively adapt existing and develop new project plans, processes, and communication standards for the operations teams
  • Report and escalate issues and concerns to management as needed.

What we would like to see on your resume/ Required Skills:

Minimum 5 years experience in management supporting software projects and a total of 10 years of experience supporting software development:

  • Experience in coordinating with Senior Executive Management and key senior staff members.
  • Experience managing a large team of technical and programmatic personnel, managing program costs and resources.
  • Experience using the Appian Business Process Modeling platform.
  • Ability to develop and deliver progress/status reports, proposals, requirements -documentation, and presentations.
  • Experience using process improvement methodologies and disciplines to lead and manage process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience providing briefings to Senior Management

What specifically does this role require:

Education: Bachelor's Degree (Master's degree preferred); Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Salary Range: Various factors are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, education, certifications, and competencies that align with the specified role, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is: $130,000- $150,000

Location: Horizon is headquartered in the heart of Tyson's Corner, VA. Occasional travel may be required.
