Mechanical Inspector
Westminster MD
Temp to Perm
Pay Rate: Up to $25/hour
Shift: 8am-4:30pm


Minimum Qualifications and Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Complete understanding of measuring equipment and ability to use such devices

* Able to read and understand blueprints

* Understands Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing

* Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA REQUIRED!

Other Responsibilities:

* Perform in process product, process, and internal audits

* Other duties as required, as defined by Quality Management



Position Summary:

Able to perform a wide range of duties including maintaining all procedures as outlined in the QA work instruction and QA manuals. Able to assist all departments in any quality functions as required. Able to perform various duties as outlined by Quality Management, coupled with following/achieving manufacturing, quality and performance standards, while exceeding our customer's expectations with quality and service in a timely manner.

Essential Functions:

Performs all the normal duties of Quality Assurance Technician. Performs in-process, final and special inspections of deliverable parts and/or assemblies. Performs receiving inspection of purchased raw materials, semi-finished in-process parts and finished parts. Operates and/or programs automated inspection equipment. Works closely with Production Supervision and advises of any gage, SPC or material problems. Maintains Quality Assurance files on PCs, MIS and manual filing systems. Operates inspection equipment. Performs special projects as assigned by Quality Management.

* Maintains good communication with other team members and Management

* Detects and reports improper operating or faulty equipment and any unusual conditions to Supervisors, Group Leaders, and/or Managers

* Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, safe and orderly condition - Sustains 5S

* Extreme attention to detail

* Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations

* Responsible for maintaining and following all quality standards and standard operating procedures

* Maintains and protects all company assets under their control

* Familiarity with ISO 9000 requirements

* Promotes safety awareness throughout the facility
