If this describes you, we are looking for a talented and ambitious Transportation (Roadway) Engineer in Phoenix, AZ where you will be an asset to drive our transportation projects, and leverage your experience to lead our talented and diverse engineering staff. Your expertise in roadway design is directly applicable to arterials, as well as freeways and traffic interchanges for local and state clients.

  • Lead experienced engineers on transportation projects, including plan development for a comprehensive range of transportation design projects comprised of horizontal and vertical geometry, cross sections, earthwork modeling, 3D roadway modeling, quantities calculations, construction specifications, and utility coordination.

Essential duties include:

  • Conducting project site visits and field investigations.
  • Using computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare design documents.
  • Leading designers/technicians in creating contract drawings.
  • Preparing specifications; preparing and checking design computations and quantity estimates; preparing permits for submittal.
  • Knowledge of signing, pavement marking, construction sequencing, roadway paving, and traffic control plans is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Phoenix area municipalities and State agencies such as Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).
  • Strong oral communication and technical writing skills.
  • Assisting the Technical Team on proposal development.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
  • Professional Registration required; Arizona P.E. is desired.
  • 6-12 years of civil engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation OpenRoads and Civil 3D.
  • Working knowledge of ProjectWIse.
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs.

Base Compensation: $79,500 - $115,000

The starting salary for the successful candidate in this position is competitive and will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications and experience, geographic location, internal equity, company policy and practices.
