Procurement Specialist needed for a contract to hire opportunity with SOC's client to work in Springfield, VA. Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required!
Responsibilities
Supplier contract negotiation and administration; supplier development, sourcing, and supply-base diversity and cost management; supplier relationship management; supplier contract regulatory compliance, DFAR Business System (Purchasing) compliance, and supplier-contract risk management. Impact:
Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the work area/project team.
Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments.
Sets objectives for own area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments.
May assist other professionals with tasks and assignments.
Works with Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements to include using a credit card for micro purchases.
Works with programs in generating material requirements and providing the necessary support of acquisition plans from start to finish.
Maintains reports and monitors material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
Coordinates forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority with commodity/category team leadership.
Provides advice to programs as to proper routes to take that will be to the greatest benefit of the program.
Analyzes material requirements for leveraging opportunities, supplier recommendations, acquisition planning
Engages supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy.
Manages production and delivery schedules
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph - we will not sponsor!
Typically requires a BA degree and 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $90,000, - $105,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
