Reporting to the Manager of Global Threat Services, the Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, building, securing, and maintaining business essential Data Science and LOB cloud-native solutions and services.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams to provide support to the COFENSE customer base as
• Work closely with the Global Threat Services management and staff to identify areas of opportunity, requirements, value add initiatives, and to address/discuss technical issues and/or feature requests.
• Leverage your subject matter expertise to assist in proof -of-concept development efforts, requirements gathering, and development/implementation optimization and scalability.
• Manage the creation and maintenance of documentation and materials that support deployment, configuration, work/data f lows, and use of all Global Threat Services initiatives, efforts, and deployed technologies.
• Proactively brainstorm on projects and initiatives and promote systems thinking and intelligence design in all engineering efforts.
• Manage, monitor, and maintain internal infrastructure and operational services.
• Build, secure, and design systems, services, and solutions within AWS cloud, at scale.
• Develop and maintain CI / CD solutions to cloud-based environments.
• Promote team collaboration and thrive in fast-paced, high-functioning work atmosphere.
• Disseminate information in well-defined or ambiguous situations with attention to detail.
• On call and afterhours support as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Excellent business judgement: know how to prioritize, collaborate, and when to seek assistance
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills to both internal and external customers
• Deep understanding of cloud DevOps automation and cloud native application development
• Expert knowledge of crafting API based solutions to manage and manipulate data in variety of formats
• In depth experience with building and maintaining cloud resources and services in AWS including: EC2, RDS, Lambda, ElastiCache, API Gateway, Simple Email Service, SNS, SQS, ECS, CloudFront, OpenSearch
• Deep understanding of SQL with ability to translate to various database management systems
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Windows and Linux systems
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and creative problem-solving techniques to research, compile, and perform complex initiatives.
• Programming experience with Python, Ruby, Java, Typescript, VueJS
• Advanced knowledge deploying web servers NGINX, WSGI
• Demonstrates a deep understanding of git concepts and best practices
• Basic TCP / IP Stack understanding and troubleshooting skills
• Prefer experience with:
  • Python f rameworks such as: Django, Flask, FastAPI
  • IaC such as Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills
  • Containerization platforms
  • Excellent written and vocal communication skills
  • Management of enterprise monitoring solutions including: creating monitors and alerts with demonstrated ability to create meaningful queries, dashboards, KPIs, alarms, and integrations.
  • Cybersecurity, SOC, Incident Response, zero trust models.
  • Track record for being able to diagnose problems within complex systems
  • Hands-on SME with designing, deploying cloud native solutions

Education and Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in cyber security, engineering, development, or other applicable fields
• Proven progressive work experience culminating as a Senior Engineer
• BS degree in Management Science or related technical field or advanced degree preferred
• Professional Certification in at least one of major cloud technology providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
