LABELER OPERATION

  • Read and understand label worksheet and code date guide
  • Supply and replenish labels in magazine.
  • Un-jam plastic in air veyor and descrambler unit
  • Replenish glue in reservoir.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems and clear jams, adjust machinery as needed.
  • Perform all changeovers on labeler and related equipment.

OVERAL LINE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • When maintenance issues occur on other pieces of equipment, the LT should be the first line of defense.
  • Secondary management of production work orders: proactively engaged with providing updates to previous and following shifts
  • Assist with continuous improvement including: designing ways to improve the process, decrease change over times, new equipment ideas, redesign workstations.
  • This person has the responsibility to operate under the Kraft Heinz Safety Values.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies, procedures and compliance programs.
  • Work toward achieving an injury free environment.
  • Responsible for entering downtime and failure reports into the OEE system. Provides detailed explanation.
  • Responsible for entering maintenance work order requests into SAP
  • Completes assigned work orders. May require weekend work.
  • Determine and verify packaging material availability to meet line schedules
  • Communicate line personnel performance issues with supervisor and team lead
  • Perform breakdown maintenance on all equipment and machinery responsibility area, using knowledge of high-speed machinery, mechanisms, basic power transmission components, pneumatic devices, basic hydraulics, and electrical devices to observe and troubleshoot line or process.
  • Responsible for proper lubrication of labeler.
  • Inspect equipment and processes for exceptions and variation from settings and standard, complete repairs to restore reliable operation and initiates work order.
  • As technical resource for crew, must be able to operate all departmental equipment and teach others on equipment operation.
  • Completes line process and quality documentation as well as downtime information according to requirements.
  • Coordinates line size and product changeovers according to production schedule.

QUALITY

  • Ensure that code date equipment is operating properly, imprinting correct code dates and is clear and legible
  • Inspect product for appearance, proper fill, tight or loose caps, proper labels and bottle quality.
  • Complete necessary documentation properly and legibly.
  • Responsible for the correct and effective cleaning of the packaging equipment.
  • Perform sanitation on the labeler and surrounding area

SAFETY

  • Maintain safety and quality awareness of team around line or process machinery.
  • Maintain a clean work area, adhering to all GMP's
  • Responsible for compliance with the safety policy and accident prevention and compliance programs.
  • Responsible for reviewing work areas for potential losses and loss control opportunities and for reporting hazards, injuries/illnesses, and other losses to supervisors.

MORALE

  • Help to motivate line personnel

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Computer experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and group situations. Must be able to read and interpret op-codes, instructions, forecasts and other work-related documents, write clearly and legibly.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, rates, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to real world situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
