ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Other duties including those not specifically related to the BBQ Topa Operator may be assigned.

  • Weigh and mix ingredients accurately with the aid of scales, pumps, stopwatches and meters.
  • This person has the responsibility to operate under the Kraft Heinz Safety Values.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies, procedures and compliance programs.
  • Work toward achieving an injury free environment.
  • Confirm daily work orders to determine the types of ingredients to withdraw from storage and amounts and types of product to mix.
  • Document all activities on batch sheets, scale check sheets and other official Kraft documents.
  • When necessary, make adjustments to the batch per Quality Department approval.
  • Fully breakdown wooden Topa Totes after each Tote is emptied; sort and stack like components together.
  • Properly record any reworked product and monitor losses and substitutions of ingredients made during the shift, notifying supervisor of these changes.
  • Test each batch of TOPA using MQFS standards. Calibrate lab/testing equipment.
  • Monitor composition test results (moisture, acidity, salinity, etc) and take appropriate corrective action when necessary.
  • Correctly and effectively clean processing equipment. This includes both period cleaning and sanitation.
  • Run C-I-P circuits and COP equipment. Sanitize totes.
  • Draw-off and add-back product.
  • Take Unilite and conventional swabs
  • Move materials using lift truck (certification required).
  • Will be required to do minimal SAP transactions in BBQ/POUR
  • Load railcars with empty knockdowns.
  • Responsible for reviewing work areas for potential losses and loss control opportunities and for reporting hazards, injuries/illnesses, and other losses to supervisors.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Must be able to read and interpret op-codes, instructions, forecasts and other work-related documents, write clearly and legibly and communicate information verbally to other employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
