Harmonia is currently looking for aSystems Engineer. The Systems Engineer playsa pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure of organizations. They are responsible for ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and security of systems to support business operations. This role requires a Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI. While a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, equivalent experience is also considered. While certifications are preferred, they are not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  1. System Design and Implementation: Design and implement IT systems and solutions, ensuring they meet the organization's needs and align with industry best practices. This includes hardware, software, networks, and security systems.
  2. Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain server infrastructure, storage systems, networking equipment, and virtualization platforms. Ensure systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  3. Security Compliance: Ensure systems and infrastructure comply with security standards, policies, and regulations. Implement security controls, conduct risk assessments, and respond to security incidents.
  4. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system-related issues. Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex problems and minimize downtime.
  5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports on system performance, capacity, and security posture.
  6. Project Management: Lead or contribute to IT projects, from planning and design to implementation and evaluation. Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and other teams to ensure project success.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in systems engineering. Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a related role.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization.
  • Experience with system design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with security standards and practices, such as NIST, ISO, and CIS.
