Job Description

The Facilities Logistics Coordinator role is in Kent, WA and embodies a critical commitment to delivering excellence throughout every facet of the logistics process. Key Responsibilities:

  • Meticulously review work orders and engage with clients to ascertain their moving and transportation preferences.
  • Skillfully wrap furniture and equipment in protective materials to ensure their safety during transit.
  • Expertly lift and maneuver a diverse range of fragile, large, and heavy items without causing any damage.
  • Proficiently organize items to be transported, optimizing space and ensuring efficient loading onto the moving truck.
  • Safely operate moving trucks ranging from 10' to 26' in length, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
  • Continuously assess and enhance moving and transportation workflows, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining meticulous records.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with supervisors, colleagues, and vendors as it pertains to job-related activities.
  • Assume responsibility for the cleanliness and orderly upkeep of equipment and the moving truck, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in operating box trucks, ranging from 10' to 26' in length.
  • Proficiency in securely loading, transporting, and unloading fragile, large, and heavy items.
  • Ability to skillfully operate a forklift.
  • Physical fitness and capability to perform strenuous tasks associated with logistics and transportation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in effectively navigating and utilizing work order systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented with a cooperative attitude.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Minimum Requirements:

At least 18 years of age or older. Hold a High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalency.1-3 years experience in moving furniture and equipment. Hold and maintain a valid Washington State driver's license. The ability to work with customers in a professional manner. Possess a solid background in customer service and relations. Superior communication skills with problem-solving abilities. Able to pass: Drug Screen, and Background Check.


Job Safety Requirements:

Must follow strict safety procedures and a strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines. Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, company policies and procedures, and Safety and Environmental Regulations.


Physical Requirements:

Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds alone or 100+ pounds with the team; move and load or unload material from facilities, vehicles, and/or carts; push and maneuver carts, and/or dollies.


Skills Required:

Outstanding organization techniques and skills and the capability to transform those skills into efficient processes. Ability to develop strong, positive relationships with personnel and contractors. Proven experience in customer service.
