Valiant is seeking an individual to operate and maintain the software and hardware networks for a USG Customer in the Northern Virginia area. The tasks below are representative of the support required.
Provide Tier I and II System Administration and resolutions to customer issues.
Provide advanced Tier III and interface with Tier IV vendor support/resolution for complex engineering issues.
Provide configuration management for all software and hardware.
Patch and update management to include updating documentation and coordination on these activities.
Provide Disaster Recovery back-up systems for designated Systems.
Perform backup of systems and applications.
Perform operation and maintenance of all server and associated peripherals including cabling of fiber and copper connections.
Manage the Sponsor's operational lab facility and closet network cabling infrastructure and develop and maintain the cable plan document.
Plan, test and install upgrades to all supported applications.
Maintain inventory for all hardware and software purchases/licensing.
Replace, update, and maintain peripheral desktop equipment and printer equipment to include the physical movement of all devices.
Perform user account administration.
Provide DNS and IP management.
Ensure 24O7 systems availability to maintain system restore requirement of 4 hours.
Provide recommendation on optimizing the server environment for performance, security, and robustness.
Support Virtual Environment.
Maintain printer and printer supplies on all networks.
Maintain basic end-user self-help SOP materials at the ready for all applications used.
Increase efficiency through implementation of best practices and process automation.
