HawkEye 360 is currently seeking a Program Engineer for Mission Management to support our US government customers. The Mission Management team is responsible for the successful execution of customer missions and supporting end users in realizing the full value of our products. The Program Engineer for Mission Management will be responsible for supporting our customers on all technical aspects of our products, to ensure technical success towards the customer's mission. This will include deep technical explanations of our space collection system and post-processing capabilities, supporting technical exchanges, and contributing to proposal/contract language and other technical deliverables.

HawkEye 360 is looking for a candidate with proven technical fluency in the areas of space-based RF collection systems and RF geolocation processing. The ideal candidate will have exceptional knowledge in RF engineering and operations, experience in the intelligence community, and be comfortable briefing complex technical material to senior audiences both in-person and virtually.

• As the Program Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
• Lead all technical discussions with our largest customers from pre-sales activities through contract completion and final program deliverables
• Lead execution of technical studies and development activities as needed for contract requirements and deliverables
• Serve as the technical face to the customer, providing quality technical support and proactive conflict resolution in a professional and constructive manner, within the context of US government processes and bureaucracies
• Ensure customer's technical requirements and expectations are met throughout the life of the contract, to include:
  • Identifying risks/issues that threaten successful fulfillment of technical requirements and drive mitigations, working with the mission manager
  • Designing custom collection configurations as needed to meet technical requirements
  • Adjusting/evolving technical solutions as needed
• Advocate for the necessary technical development to support technical success across our customer base and drive internal development efforts towards this goal; work with the product and development teams to feed customer requirements and expectations into system and product development pipelines
• Support legal team with technical inputs for export licensing and other legal/policy documentation and discussions
• Support pre-sales activities to ensure commitment to technically viable solutions
• Travel to customer sites, sometimes internationally, for in-person meetings as needed for effective technical exchanges and relationship building

Your skills and qualifications:
Essential education and experience:

• 15+ years professional RF engineering or similar experience
• M.S in engineering or other relevant technical field or equivalent experience
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Ability to be physically present in our Herndon/Chantilly, VA locations full time
• Demonstrated effective management of requirements and engineering solutions for complex engineering projects
• Demonstrated success in leading or supporting multidisciplinary project teams executing to a set time and budget
• Basic understanding of intelligence operations in geospatial and/or RF intelligence fields
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in professional, customer service settings

Desirable:

• Experience in the intelligence and/or defense-related communities; experience in multi-INT analysis or operations utilizing customer databases, platforms, and applications
• Experience working with US government contracts and international cultures
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services GovCloud, Simple Storage Solutions (S3)

Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000 annually

HawkEye 360 offers a compensation package that includes a competitive base salary plus annual performance bonus and benefits. We consider many factors when determining salary offers, such as candidate's work experience, education, training & skills, as well as market and business considerations. We are also open to considering candidates with experience and qualifications at a different level than required in a job posting, which may affect the compensation package offered.
