Overview

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking Process Engineers at multiple experience-levels to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, Maryland area. You will improve and align management and operations processes through the design and implementation of continuous improvement principles and methodologies on behalf of a large, complex organization essential to U.S. national security. These positions require an active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph.

Responsibilities

As a Process Engineer with MTSI you will inform and align management and operations processes through the design and implementation of continuous improvement principles and methodologies, enable the success of select project teams, facilitate the proliferation of best practices, and serve as a key leader among multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration. This position will be in or near Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

Your essential job functions will include but will not be limited to:

  • Develop plans for process assessments, both informal and formal.
  • Coordinate and schedule process assessments.
  • Lead teams conducting both formal and informal assessments.
  • Analyze assessment results and make improvement recommendations.
  • Incorporate assessment results and recommendations into improvement plans.
  • Assess Process Improvement progress and report findings.
  • Assist in defining Process Improvement strategy and lessons learned.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for Process Improvement activities.
  • Lead Process Improvement effort utilizing CMM/CMMI or other similar process models.
  • Assist in Enterprise-level Systems and Software Engineering Process Improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of work experience in systems engineering and/or software engineering on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Within those 10+ years of work experience:
    • 2+ years must be in performing process improvement (including the application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies).
    • 2+ years in the cybersecurity field.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or education from an accredited college or university is required, or 5+ years of additional process improvement experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teaming abilities.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter, able to take initiative and accomplish work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of related experience including 7+ years of process improvement work; or a Bachelor's degree in an applicable field with 10+ years of related experience.

Certifications Requirements:

  • N/A

Clearance Requirements:

  • TS/SCI clearance and CI Polygraph with eligibility for Full Scope Polygraph.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
