Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP). This role will be pivotal in deploying our people strategy to drive overall business performance. The position will be based in our Belcamp, MD location. The ideal candidate will have a "roll up your sleeves and get it done attitude" who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The HRBP will develop strong partnerships with leaders to deliver value added HR services that reflect the organization's business objectives in the following areas Change Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Organizational Design, Talent & Succession Planning, Performance Management, Training and Development, Employee Relations, and HR Compliance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Consults on all people related activities to develop and deliver HR solutions to support business priorities.
  • Be a transformational leader across the organization, both in thought and execution.
  • Develops strong, trusting relationships with business leaders to gain support and achieve results.
  • Proactively manages talent, ensuring that we have the best leaders in place, with a focus on ongoing development.
  • Works with leaders to ensure the right organizational structure and provides guidance on restructures.
  • Develops initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Proactively identifies client group's HR priorities, plans and executes strategies; ensure work aligns with broad HR initiatives.
  • Leads performance and rewards process for performance reviews and merit increases, ensures calibration across locations and merit increases within budget.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics to make informed decisions aligned with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Keeps current with industry trends including the local economy, competitors, availability of talent (e.g., labor market including local hiring, layoffs, unemployment rates) and shares information with leadership and Talent Acquisition.

Requirements

  • If needed, you must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a personnel security clearance (PCL) at the level of the facility clearance (FCL). If selected for this position, you will be required to present one of the following documents on your first day: Stamped US birth certificate, US Passport, or Certificate of Naturalization in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication, Psychology, or related field. Master's degree and/or SPHR or PHR preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as a strategic HR Business Partner in a medium to large size company, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • This position must be located at our Belcamp, MD location and requires you to work onsite daily.
  • May require up to 30% travel.
  • Demonstrated HR knowledge in multiple human resource disciplines including Talent Management & Succession Planning, Change Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Organizational Design, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Training & Development, and Talent Acquisition.
  • Strong relationship building skills to develop trusted relationships with business leaders, managers, and employees. Comfortable partnering with leaders while having a differing point of view and holding others accountable.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities and experience in leading projects.
  • Excellent organization, analytical, interpersonal, coaching, influencing, and facilitation skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines and handle pressure with a sense of urgency while remaining calm and professional.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
