Job Description

Are you ready to unleash your full potential? We're looking for people who are passionate about payments to chart Worldpay's path to being the largest and most-loved payments company in the world.

About the Team:

At Payrix, we're on a mission to create frictionless, industry-leading payments experiences. We are seeking a Senior UX Researcher to work closely with our Product, Design, and Engineering teams to collaborate with us as we re-imagine and shape a user-centric experience for our customers.

We're working to build a diverse, inclusive, and outcomes-oriented design organization to help us create products that have a meaningful impact on how companies integrate payment systems into their own software and platforms. We believe in leveraging individual strengths to build an even stronger overall team and would love to hear about yours.

What you will be doing:

- Manage and lead UX Research initiatives for your product area.

  • Work with leadership to understand the goals for your product area and develop a research strategy that aligns to those outcomes.
  • Design and conduct research studies that allow for cross-functional team participation in observation and analysis.
  • Develop research reports that help summarize and communicate the results of a study for cross-functional partners and the Payrix leadership team.

- Help establish and maintain a user insights catalog to help support continuous UX Research learning across the Payrix org.

  • Collaborate to establish a searchable, usable, insights library based on the results of your research that helps teams across the company to better understand our customers.
  • Work with other designers and researchers to ensure we're building a consistent process and taxonomy across studies.

- Develop and maintain UX journey maps and service blueprints in collaboration with your Design partners that accurately reflect actual user experiences with both Payrix and competitor products.

  • Work with Design Leadership to establish our first journey maps and service blueprints for your product area.
  • Identify opportunities to update, maintain, and expand upon these maps and blueprints as research insights and the products evolve.

- Support the overall development of our UX Research and Design org to help us increase UX maturity at Payrix.

  • Develop UX Research process templates that can be used to help onboard new researchers and designers.
  • Be a source of knowledge on UX Research practices by regularly presenting your findings and details about study methodologies to cross-functional teams to support their learning about how to best leverage UX insights within their work.
  • Actively consult and provide feedback to the Product, Design, and Engineering teams on how to improve their work by leveraging applicable research insights.
  • Provide opportunities for the cross-functional teams to participate in "user exposure hours" (observing real people and their experiences as related to our products).

What you bring:

  • You enjoy getting into the details of conducting and analyzing UX Research studies.
  • You're well-versed in mixed research methods and UX Research methodologies and know how and when to use each method to generate actionable insights for your Product, Design, and Engineering partners.
  • You understand the difference between qualitative and quantitative metrics and know how to leverage them to identify opportunities for us to improve user-experiences and to measure how successful our efforts were at achieving our desired UX Outcomes.
  • You're familiar with the tools and processes for developing a continuous insights database and are excited about collaborating with Design leadership to establish Payrix's first user insights catalog.
  • You're an excellent communicator that has experience working in remote roles and working in a distributed environment.
  • You're willing to occasionally travel to support and conduct on-site customer research studies.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience in the finance industry or with payments processing technology.

What we offer you:

  • A competitive salary and benefits
  • A variety of career development tools, resources, and opportunities
  • The chance to work on some of the most challenging, relevant issues in the payment industry.
  • Time to support charities and give back in your community.
