Job/Internship Description

Hill International is seeking an Intern in Washington DC/ Maryland/ Virgina region

Join us for an exciting summer internship program with Hill International! In this program, you will be working with and learning from various employees at Hill International, visiting and working at client project sites, networking opportunities and many other activities to gain knowledge and experience in the industry! Hill's Internship Program is expected to begin in May 2024.


  • Work from the project Field Office and perform site visits to the active construction project
  • PM/CM disciplines may include one or a combination:
    • Project Controls/CPM Scheduling
    • Document Controls and Project Reporting
    • Contract Administration/Change Management
    • Construction Inspection and documentation
  • Attend weekly progress and coordination
  • Download/upload project information into construction software
  • Maintain field office project files (paper and electronic) and scan paper documents as required
  • Maintaining the project Quality Records (i.e. material certifications, inspection/test reports, submittals, letters/project correspondence, meeting minutes, certified payroll)
  • Update plans and specifications with latest revisions from the designer and other as-built information under direction of field staff
  • Prepare basic correspondence and spreadsheets as required
  • Perform routine office tasks - scan, copy, file, organize, order supplies, mail, e-mail, etc.

  • Completing Junior or Senior year pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering or construction management
  • Must provide own transportation to the construction field office. Transportation from the field office to the work site will be provided.
  • Full Covid-19 vaccination is recommended. Mandatory vaccinations and proof of vaccination are subject to client requirements, federal, state or local law.
  • Resume, application, and interview will be required. Interviews can be via Microsoft Teams.
