Job Description
Corrpro Companies is looking for a Corrosion Technician Manag to join our team. Position is based out of our Philadelphia office.
Corrpro, a subsidiary of Aegion Corporation, is among the largest corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for the protection and preservation of infrastructure. Corrpro provides professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services to major oil companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer and gas utilities, universities, and public transportation agencies.
  • Responsible for direction and coordination of Corrosion technical services and manage Corrosion Technicians for the Region
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for technical staff
  • Plan and direct field efforts for effective coordination with sales
  • Interact with customers on technical issues requiring specialized skills or data interpretation
  • Monitor technical aspects of system installations and resolve technical difficulties
  • Specify and initiate procurement of field instrumentation
  • Organize, schedule, coordinate, and assign staff to projects to obtain most effective utilization of resources and meet commitments to customers
  • Review preliminary survey, design data, and proposals with engineering staff
  • Discuss project objectives, specify expectations, suggest appropriate methods and procedures
  • Direct technical activities to successfully complete project within time/budgetary estimates
  • Visit jobsites to provide technical guidance to ensure successful execution of the work
  • Review and edit reports, discuss, implement and recommend revisions, and ensure all documents are technically correct
QUALIFICATIONS
  • NACE CP Certifications required
  • Associates Technical Degree in Engineering Technology or related, preferred
  • 8 years of cathodic protection experience
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower; strong communicator with ability to take initiative, function independently, make decisions; and comfortable in a management position
  • Experience working with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint/Nitro Pro. Ability to learn new applications quickly
