What You'll Do:
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of Shield AI's V-BAT production line
  • Attend cross-functional design reviews and provide feedback to the engineering team on design for manufacture and assembly
  • Work closely with product/program management, business teams, design engineers, and technical leadership to develop a world-class production operation and drive continuous improvements
  • Develop and maintain project schedule and deliverables, establish standards and expectations for completion of manufacturing operations
  • Train manufacturing personnel on new processes as a technical expert and process owner
  • Provide guidance and support on resolving supply chain manufacturing challenges
  • Define requirements and assist in the design and development of stable, capable, and automated manufacturing solutions
Required Qualifications:
  • You have a B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • You have 3+ years of industry experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
  • You are experienced with manufacturing process development, providing feedback on DFMA, project and team leadership, the product design cycle, tooling and equipment design, creating detailed work instructions, composite manufacturing methods, electromechanical hardware, automated test equipment
  • You have been an integral contributor to multiple projects encompassing the full product design cycle
  • You have demonstrated creativity in developing robust manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment that have increased quality and efficiency, and reduced manufacturing cost and lead times
  • You are highly effective at communicating project schedules, roadblocks, and process requirements to all levels of an organization
  • You have a demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leading manufacturing projects through rapid development
  • Experience with aerospace manufacturing and configuration management
  • Led transformative change of manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective training of manufacturing processes
  • Experience CAD modeling with Solidworks, NX, or similar
  • Knowledgeable on GD&T and component manufacturing methods

Total package details:
Regular employee positions: Salary within range listed above + Bonus + Benefits + Equity
Temporary employee positions: Hourly within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment)
