Job Description Summary: | This position supports the campus transportation driving service by operating Safe Ride vehicles, driving sedans and 12 passenger vans, and/or monitoring the escort service phones, and directing requests to on-duty drivers. The core responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: -Drive Safe Ride vehicles that transport GW students, faculty, staff, and guests to desired locations within the service borders -Monitor the escort service during the hours of operation -Delegate escort service requests to on-duty drivers in accordance with established policies and procedures -Maintain written records of all escort transactions in accordance with the guidelines outlined by the department -Ensure that vehicle(s) are sufficiently fueled and that vehicle performance problems are immediately reported to a supervisor when performing driver duties. -Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
