Job Description
Summary:
We are currently seeking an energetic and hungry sales professional to sell SafeNet Assured Technologies’ solutions to a named set of federal civilian accounts, generating product transactions and maximizing revenue for the company.  Due to a series of high profile breaches and security crises that have afflicted federal and DoD customers, we have seen the need and requirements for our solutions increase dramatically and are looking for top level sales people to help capitalize on this momentum and drive growth.  This person is tasked with identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities within new and existing customers to drive high volume product transactions.  Responsible for generating accurate and realistic sales forecasts.  The RSM is a hunter role and is expected to actively prospect and network with customers and partners to drive sales.
 
Qualification Requirements:

US Citizenship required

Education:   

Bachelors Degree in related field
 
Experience:  
  • 8+ years of sales experience in IT industries, including at least 5 years of sales experience within federal civilian agencies
  • Strong background in software and hardware products and/or subscription selling with experience working with channel and OEM partners.
  • Domain experience in cyber-security is desirable, preferably with background in encryption, key management, or authentication.
  • Experience in managing all aspects of the sales cycle including prospecting, development of the customer relationship at all levels and the implementation of the account plans. 
Skills:
 
  • An affinity and inclination to obtain a strong understanding of the technical aspects of solutions with the purpose of being able to translate those capabilities into solving business/mission problems
  • Skilled and willing/motivated to prospect aggressively to customer targets of all levels
  • Capable of closing deals from discovering sales opportunities to contract completion.
  • Able to up-sell existing accounts as well as penetrating and closing new logo targets 
  • Comfortable being an active participant (not necessarily leader) in highly technical discussions, and able to collaboratively work with a team of Sales Engineers to educate and demonstrate our capabilities to customers..
  • Income driven with strong track record in a highly transactional product set..
  • Accustomed to a sales model in which high activity is the key driver of success
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter, yet also to work functionally within a small, close-knit team

  •  Manages, develops and grows strategic prospects and existing customer relationships
  • Identifies, qualifies and quantifies all opportunities within an assigned region and leads sales effort
  • Develops and delivers accurate and technically correct sales presentations to potential customers
  • Manages all aspects of the sales cycle including prospecting, development of the customer relationship at all levels and the implementation of the account plans
  • Delivers on set objectives to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Works with sales support staff, pre and post sales staff to further customer relationships forecast,  track territory opportunities, and close the deal
