The Well-Being Health and Safety (WBHS) student employees will support and aid in administering standardized Health & Safety processes to ensure compliance to federal, state, provincial and local regulations and corporate policies and procedures. The WBHS student employees will help achieve world class status and impact corporate savings through the elimination of occupational injuries/illnesses, property damage and improvement of production efficiency as well as safeguarding the health and safety of all employees. The specific position will focus on health and safety compliance, Wellbeing, Safety Management System (OHSAS 18001), and health and safety improvement goals. This role will directly aid in the day-to-day processes that support WBHS.
The position provides students an opportunity to work year-round in a part-time role. The WBHS student employees will be required to work on-site at one of the Stellantis manufacturing facilities located in the Metro-Detroit area. Students are expected to work 24 hours per week during normal business hours Monday-Friday.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a post high school degree.
- Willing to work in a Manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work 24 hours per week, year-round.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working towards a degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, Science, or related field.
- Graduation date of April 2026 or later
- Strong leadership characteristics
- Strong interest in manufacturing and manufacturing operations in the automotive industry
- Strong interpersonal skills
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale)
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Previous internship with an automotive manufacturer
