ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists supervisor in coordinating activities of workers engaged in product assembly, applying knowledge of assembly techniques, specifications, and production scheduling.
  • Discusses with supervisor and checks production schedules and priorities to plan departmental work assignments.
  • Interprets specifications and work orders for workers.
  • Coordinates with other Dept leads/functions to ensure materials, fabricated components and documentation are completed as planned. 
  • Assists workers in resolving technical problems and advises supervisor of complex production problems.
  • Reads, prepares, collects, and maintains reports, such as individual and department production reports and addresses performance gaps with team members, as necessary.
  • Maintains efficiency and productivity levels according to plant goals.
  • Trains, organizes, communicates, and leads the efforts of the Team Leaders.
  • Provides feedback about team members performance for performance evaluations purposes.
  • Facilitates and drives results through the High-Performance team environment.
  • Identifies employee resource requirements according to workload in assigned areas and partners with other depart leads to plan accordingly –
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency in solving problems. escalating issues and maintaining business integrity & ownership.
  • Demonstrates a proactive attitude in problem resolution.
  • Possesses an advanced understanding of the product and processes.
  • Completes weekly safety audits.
  • Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.

          

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

  • Read and write English
  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience leading a team/department.
  • COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), as well as Internet software and E-mail is required.  Experience with MOM and MES/SAP and other manufacturing software is desired.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated adherence of company safety policies
  • Ability to read Tape measure
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Prior experience and advanced understanding of the specific department to manufacture industrial air handlers

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Under a Production Supervisor, influences a team of up to 100 employees within a single department.
  • Acts as the on-shift supervisor to cover for vacation and other supervisor absences. 
  • Follows daily production schedules for assigned employees which interfaces with the Master Production Schedule
  • Assigns individual tasks to small groups of individuals and monitors their progress
  • Detects employee relations problems and resolves or raises them to the attention of the appropriate party
  • Promotes and enforces plant policies and guidelines – including completion of safety inspections and enforcing the use of PPE.
