Multimedia Visual Writer & Producer
The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), the largest airline pilot union in the world and the largest non-governmental aviation safety organization in the world (representing over 77,00 pilots at 41 U.S. and Canadian airlines) seeks an experienced Visual Writer & Producer to join the Multimedia Creation and Operations team for our Tysons (McLean), Virginia office. The Visual Writer & Producer is responsible for collaborating with ALPA’s diverse stakeholders to develop scripts for media products on a variety of internal and external platforms including social media, podcasting, eLearning, live streaming, and more. They coordinate production and post-production processes to ensure that the final products are completed on time and to the highest standards.
The successful candidate is hands-on with each project and owns the production process from start to finish. They are adept at taking difficult or abstract concepts and finding creative ways to visualize and/or simplify them. They must work well in a team environment, including working with voluntary, non-professional talent; have strong storytelling skills that translate across multiple platforms; and, adhere to the Association’s consistent brand and visual standards.

Occasionally required to move, raise, reach, and/or retrieve audio/video equipment, binders, books, boxes, and files up to 25 lbs. While on travel (local, national, or international), could be responsible to move, raise, reach, and/or retrieve equipment and/or luggage weighing as much as fifty (50) lbs. (Assistance may not always be available.)
