Deluxe is looking for a Database Administrator to work with multiple enterprise and open source database technologies. You'll be joining a respected and collaborative team who use these database technologies across multiple data centers in a hybrid cloud approach.
The Database Administrator works with a team responsible for providing database operations and architectural solutions to support private cloud deployments and legacy server environments.Workswith several database platforms including commercial and open source database technologies.
Installation, tuning, backup/restore, disaster recovery, replication and clustering of Enterprise and Open Source database platforms including relational databases and NoSQL technologies on both Windows and Unix/Linux Operating Systems (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, Vertica, MySQL/ MariaDB/Percona, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elastic Search, Cassandra, CouchDB & Hadoop)
Support operational and release management process including application release cycle, MOP, CAB, ticketing and incident management processes.Creating and updating database schemas, indexes, foreign keys, constraints, views, stored procedures and triggers.
Managing database users and access controls including participating in compliance audits and reviews.
Contribute to database requirements, architectural design, capacity planning, monitoring and life-cycle management based on industry best practices
Participate in on-call rotation and service outages as a point of escalation by colleagues, operational staff and business units.
Basic Qualifications (BQs)
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience or high school diploma/GED and 7 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and6years of experience
