Fox News is looking for a highly motivated Freelance Transmission Operator to join our Washington Bureau for vacation and sick relief. The candidate must be a team player who is flexible with their work schedule, including early mornings, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced news environment, monitor and route incoming and outgoing feeds that service FNC, FBN, Dot Com, and our Affiliates. This position is vital to our On-Air programming. You will work with the Satellite Desk, Media Desk, Field Crews, and Control Room Staff to ensure a quality product.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
A bachelor's degree and or relevant work experience
Solid working knowledge of HD quality control equipment
Know how to read scopes
Ability to identify/troubleshoot audio and video problems with satellite and fiber transmission systems
Ability to work well independently as well as in a team setting
Strong organizational skills
Able to handle multiple duties and tasks in a stressful environment
Available to work some weekend/overnight hours
Inews, Verizon AVOC, Live U knowledge a plus
