Community Outreach to Minorities

We are one of the 116 chapters with the primary mission of improving the quality of life within our communities by enhancing educational and economic opportunities.

The mission of the AACC is to unite, grow, and empower African American businesses in Montgomery County, Maryland.

The BAIC has been able to help the Native American Indians find jobs and housing and with financial assistance. Throughout the years the BAIC has ran many different types of programs. Some of those programs were alcohol and drug abuse programs, adult basic education programs(GED), HIV-AIDS programs, tutoring services, job and training placement programs. In addition to those types of services, the BAIC wanted to help keep the Native American Indian culture and traditions alive.

Spanish Catholic Center provides medical, dental, immigration, legal, education and social services to over 40,000 clients, primarily new Latino immigrants in Mt. Pleasant, Gaithersburg, and Langley Park. The Archdiocese of Washington founded the Spanish Catholic Center in 1967. Over the years, the Center has served immigrants from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe and all points in between. Dedicated staff accomplish their mission along with hundreds of professional volunteers who provide caring services on a regular basis.

The Greater Baltimore Urban League, Inc. (GBUL) is one of the local affiliates of the National Urban League - a nonprofit, nonpartisan, multi-ethnic, social service organization. Through direct service delivery, advocacy, referrals, community capacity building, information dissemination and technical assistance, the League accomplishes its mission to improve social and economic conditions and opportunities for African-Americans and other people who face barriers to full participation in American society.

Hmong National Development, Inc. (HND) is a national non-profit organization developing capacity to ensure the full participation of Hmong in society. HND works with local and national organizations, public and private entities, and individuals to promote educational opportunities, to increase community capacity, and to develop resources for the well-being, growth, and full participation of Hmong in society.

Our mission is to provide opportunities for Latino youth to believe in themselves and reach their highest potential. We accomplish this by reaching out to youth and their families, one at a time. We believe in them, treat them with respect and dignity, and work with our partners to remove barriers to their success.

The Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MAHCC) is one of the most active business organizations in the Mid Atlantic region.

Our mission is to provide a comprehensive academic and social development support program that addresses the academic and career needs of a diverse student population. The program will utilize a holistic model of 5 key elements to develop successful students: Set high academic standards, provide leadership training, participate in community outreach, expose students to dynamic cross cultural experiences and provide a culturally mediated academic support system.
