Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Data Analytics Lead who will become part of Peraton's Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. Peraton's DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats.

Location: Rosslyn, VA.

As a Team Leader of the Cyber Data Analytics, you will lead effort to integrate and operationalize data, be pivotal in the development of future data models, and lead efforts in data enablement. Your day-to-day will vary, some days you'll advise analysts on the development of infrastructure and platforms. Other days, you'll meet with analytical branches to design and implement data management best practices.

What you'll do:

    Manage and mentor the cyber data analytics team, ensuring continuous growth, skill development, and efficient value delivery.
  • In collaboration with the Data Architect, direct the collection, storage, and management of vast cybersecurity datasets, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with Department stakeholders to ensure the secure collection, storage, and management of large cybersecurity datasets.
  • Ensure data hygiene and accuracy while optimizing data retrieval and analysis processes.
  • Establish and oversee data governance policies related to cybersecurity analytics.
  • Spearhead initiatives to improve data quality, optimization, and processing.
  • Provide key stakeholder input toward the implementation and optimization of cloud-based cyber analytics platforms and tools.
  • Ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions with existing data infrastructures and cybersecurity tools.
  • Develop and implement the strategic direction for the cyber data management domain, aligning with broader cybersecurity and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to enhance tool capabilities and address technical challenges.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 9 years' experience required. An additional 4 years will be considered in lieu of degree/education.
  • Knowledge of Cribl, Splunk, Data Bricks and Tableau.
  • Experience in Cyber Analytics, XDR, and Cloud Data Management.
  • Possess one of the following certifications, OR be able to obtain within 6 months of start date:

CASP+ CE; CCNP Security; CEH; CFR; CHFI; CISA; CISSP (or Associate); Cloud+; CND; CySA+; GCED; GCIH; GICSP; SSCP

  • U.S. citizenship with an active Secret security clearance.
    • Ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
