Systems Administrator - Enterprise Operations

MUST:
10+ years of overall applicable experience
Interim Secret is allowed until full Secret clearance obtained
Experience with Splunk and HBSS highly desired.
Obtain and maintain (if don't already possess) a computing environment certification relevant to job duties (must have within 6 months of hire)
DoD 8570.01-M baseline certification at time of hire.
Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 administration.
Experience with upgrading, maintaining and providing security patches and updates.
Experience working with RMF.
Experience with Change Management Control process and submit Requests for Change.
Experience with building/configuring Splunk Enterprise in accordance with the latest DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements, and industry security best practices for system hardening, highly desired.
Must be able to work independently.

Minimum BS/BA degree required.

DUTIES:
Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 administration.
Troubleshoot system outages to resolve the problem and recover the services to maximum performance in the shortest amount of time as possible.
Ensure that all client services, including underlying hardware and software, meet all DoD 8500 series and NIST 800-53 security requirements.
Develop systems architecture and other system engineering/administration documentation.
Perform full beta-testing to ensure full functionality and integration with all services prior to applying changes to production systems.
Upgrade, maintain and provide security patches on all servers including occasional scheduled after-hours patching.
Assist in technical evaluation of the vendor submissions for compliance with client specifications.
Prepare and present training information to the technical staff and user personnel.
Maintain systems and data integrity that includes virus checking.
Participate in Change Management Control process and submit Requests for Change as needed.
Administer system security tools to include ACAS, SCAP and Radix.
Ensure STIG checklists and associated artifacts for all technologies are reviewed, and validation results are posted.
Assist in building/configuring Splunk Enterprise in accordance with the latest DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements, and industry security best practices for system hardening to support to support the needs of JPEO and their enterprise.
Support the JPEO Cybersecurity Risk Management Lifecycle (RMF) lifecycle mission by developing new methods to ingest compliance data into Splunk and facilitate continuous monitoring.
Administer McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS) and Army Endpoint Security System (AESS) ePO server to include all modules required by STIG, computer objects, policies and client tasks.
Maintain STIG compliance across the entire VMware environment.
Administer both VMware vCenter servers and vCloud environment.
Administer Microsoft IIS web servers for various application web front ends.
Remediate security scan findings provided by Cybersecurity engineers, ACAS scans, and Evaluate-STIG.
Respond to and remediate software vulnerabilities identified in Information Assurance Vulnerability Memorandums (IAVM), Operations Orders (OPORD), Task Orders (TASKORD) and Cyber Task Orders (CTO).
