LMI seeks a skilled Tech Transfer Support Lead to support a CBP PMO in the National Capital Region. The Tech Transfer Support Lead will work with systems engineers, program managers, and technical subject matter experts to plan and execute technology demonstration, system development testing, operational testing, operational assessment, and other T&E related activities.

Responsibilities

The Tech Transfer Support Lead will support Operations Analysis with planning, coordinating, analyzing, researching, and providing engineering-related technical expertise to the acquisition process including support in the following areas:

    Conduct pilot projects to seek innovative solutions and promising technology applications to enhance border control.
  • Support the acquisition of analytical tools.
  • Develop high-level and tactical models and simulations of border security.
  • Advise on the technical and operational feasibility of new tools and technologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field with 18 years of experience or master's degree in related field with 13 years of experience or PhD with 10 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
  • Relevant experience in border control operations and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, communication skills, and leadership skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, independent performer who can perform well in a collaborative, team environment.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities.
  • Must exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the customer as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing individual duties.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
