Location: Hybrid / Savage, Maryland, and Client Site(s) in DMV area; Additional travel of 10% may be required.

Job Summary:
As a Senior Audio-Visual Project Manager at VersaTech, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing large-scale AV projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders, internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure the successful execution of projects within budget, schedule, and quality parameters. Your expertise in project management methodologies, AV technologies, and industry best practices will be instrumental in driving project success and exceeding client expectations. This is a hands-on role in which the ideal candidate drives progress by taking project ownership while motivating others. Success hinges on effective collaboration and continuous communication.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects with top-down oversight to ensure adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Develop project plans aligning customer requirements with company goals, coordinating various managers and technical personnel through all project phases.
  • Responsible for overseeing the project progress and providing detailed scheduled reports on milestones and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the Project Team, Vendors, Finance, Procurement, and Project Controls to communicate schedule, lead times, risks, etc.
  • Review proposed modifications on project plans and implement beneficial changes.
  • Oversee the acquisition of resources and materials by negotiating agreements with vendors.
  • Proactively plan and address nonconformities, change orders, routine inspections, and Quality Management post-implementation.
  • Support solutioning efforts on current projects and pipeline opportunities.
  • Provide thought leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Stay informed of relevant industry trends and news.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or other relevant AV industry certifications.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on audiovisual solutions and technologies.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale AV projects with budgets exceeding $2 million.
  • In-depth knowledge of AV systems, equipment, installation methodologies, and integration best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Ability to travel as needed to client locations in the DMV area.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings, mockups, and AutoCAD designs.
  • Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deliverables.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Outlook, Excel, and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to balance communications and priorities between internal and external stakeholders. Ability to communicate technical specifications and AV specific jargon in plain language for stakeholder understanding.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years working with government customers in the AV/IT field.
  • PMP/PMI certification.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), CTSI-D, or CTS-I
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Field, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
