Leidos is seeking a Senior Java Developer to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSA's Digital Modernization Strategy. • Develop secure multi-layered Enterprise level JEE based applications that utilize SOAP and REST Services

• Front end development using SSA UI Frameworks (UEF) including web components

• Prepare Unit Tests to meet minimum requirements for test coverage
• Work within an Agile software development lifecycle including both Scrum and Kanban
• Prepare Agile User Stories in conjunction with Analyst and Validation team members
• Attend all customer technical discussions/design/development meetings and provide technical inputs to further enhance the code quality/process
• Provide guidance/support to other junior/mid-level developers
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents submitted by application users
• All other duties as assigned or directed.

FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience

• 8+ years of experience with full stack JEE design and development in a secure enterprise environment
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

*** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD

*** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week.

• Strong experience with Enterprise level JEE and related technologies
• Experience using Eclipse IDE and related tools
• Experience using web components for development of UI
• Experience developing REST and SOAP services
• Experience implementing comprehensive unit tests
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with system design and JEE patterns
• Experience using Git and Bitbucket for version control.
• Experience with Urban Code Deploy (UCD)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)

Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:

• Experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Experience with modern development software, tools, and methodologies.
• Experience working on Agile projects and understanding Agile terminology.
• Work in a DevOps Environment.
• Participate in daily kanban activities and provide updates.
