The State Department Federal Credit Union is currently seeking an Assistant Manager to assist the Manager in directing the daily workflow of all areas within the Deposit & Check Operations department. This includes ACH, remote deposit capture, NUCA examinations, desk audits, account closures, account and federal reserve adjustments, domestic collections, check processing, withdrawals, mail transactions, transfers, shared branch balancing, credit card payments, records retention, handling returned mail, Braille statement creation, branch runs, mail center operations, and supervision of subordinates.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

* Familiarity with laws, regulations, policy, rules, and other administrative matters concerning SDFCU, the payments industry, other financial institutions and financial matters.

* Two years of credit union or related experience

* Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) or other payments certification preferred

* Ability to analyze and translate associated data and reports

* Ability to analyze and interpret member account activity to assist other credit union personnel with adjustment and research needs

* Ability to use sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and/or confidential matters

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Accounting background helpful

* Minimum of six months of supervisory experience

* College experience desired
