Company Overview
Axios was formed by a group of health experts who shared the vision of an organization that could work effectively with clients and stakeholders across the public and private sectors to improve access to healthcare for patients in developing countries.

In 1997, following the pioneering efforts of its founders in bringing together the public and private sectors to implement the first ever antiretroviral (ARV) treatment programs in Africa and beyond as part of the UNAIDS Drug Access Initiative – which proved that ARV treatment could be delivered safely and effectively in low-income settings and paved the way for subsequent price reductions and treatment scale-up – Axios International was created, followed by the Axios Foundation in 2000.

Axios Foundation has broad and deep experience in all aspects of global healthcare, with particular expertise in Supply Chain Management and Logistics, HIV/AIDS and Community Based Services, Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Cancer Care and Treatment, Lab Strengthening and Supply Chain Management.  Our technical expertise is complemented by our proficiency and experience in capacity building, training, assessments, research and evaluation, program development and management and strategic planning.
