Ideal Electrical Supply Corporation is a full services wholesale distributor for complete lines of electrical, industrial, data & telecommunications networking products, lighting, tools and safety equipment and supplies. Ideal Electric was founded by Cora Williams and Ken Rogers in 1991 and incorporated in Washington, DC. The company maintains its headquarters and major operations in a large facility located in Northeast Washington, DC.

The Company's fleet of vehicles operates from a 21,000 square foot warehouse where many of the items sold/distributed are inventoried. Major customers include; Verizon, Federal and DC Government Agencies, Potomac Electric Power Company (Pepco), Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE), Washington Gas (WG) and select electrical contractors. Ideal Electric is an authorized distributor for many major electrical and telecommunication products including but not limited to: General Electric, Hubbell, 3M, Burndy, Plymouth, Cooper, General Cable, CME cable, Klein tools, Motorola, Invensys, etc. (See line card)

Ideal Electric is 100% owned and operated by its founders, Cora Williams, President and Ken Rogers, Executive Vice President. The Company is certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and a Woman Owned Business (WBE) by numerous City, Regional, State and Federal certifying agencies throughout the United States. In October 2004, the Company was selected as the Regional Supplier of the Year in the over $10,000,000 revenue category by the National Minority Supplier Development Council. In 2003, the company was selected as the D.C. Chamber of Commerce's Small Business of the year.

Ideal Electric's management recognizes the importance of involvement in the local community as a corporate citizen. Ideal Electric's president, Cora Williams is actively involved as a member of the Boards of Directors of the DC Chamber of Commerce, the Minority Business Coalition of DC, the Maryland/DC Minority Supplier Development Council and the National Association of Electrical Distributors (an industry-related professional association). Both Ms. Williams and Mr. Rogers actively support and participate in many community charitable activities, especially those involving kids.
